Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
